As this year comes to a close, I’m taking a moment to reflect on what an incredible journey it has been filled with creativity, achievements, and meaningful moments, as well as some deeply emotional times.
In March, I had to say goodbye to my 19-year-old cat: DOES, my homeboy, who had been by my side for nearly two decades. He left a void in my life that’s still felt every day. Later in the year, in June, I lost my dear friend Nash. A loss that was incredibly difficult to process.
Amid the challenges, this year also brought incredible opportunities and projects that filled me with gratitude and inspiration.
A trip to La Palma, Spain, for the residency led by Yasha Young was transformative, being surrounded by other talented artists reminded me of the magic of shared creative energy. I had the privilege of collaborating with SOLID GRAY, which was a rewarding experience. I painted a mural that brought color to Joinville, Paris, thanks to Notorious Brand. Wrapping a snowcat in the Dolomites for Paradiso Pure Living Hotel was another unforgettable moment, blending art with an extraordinary landscape. Painting in Grasse, France, for Poesie Urbain Festival was a unique project. 12 amazing artists coming together to transform an entire car park. I also had the chance to leave my mark at a festival in Rome and shared a special moment painting alongside my sons; a personal highlight for sure. Attending group shows, including a memorable invitation to Le Mur Guadeloupe, added to the year’s excitement. And the highlight of 2024? Without a doubt, being part of Wynwood Walls. A milestone that makes this year another banger in my creative journey.
To everyone who has supported me since 1997, thank you for following along and being part of this adventure. Let’s make 2025 a year to remember.
Choose love, always!
